some people take it way too seriously, i encounter so many people who are like "sighhhhhhhhhhh i have to go cap skills for my title, or ugh i have to get my ele through NF."
i find it ridiculous, a game is to enjoy yourself in your leisure time, if you arent enjoying yourself then what are you doing..you arent forced to do so, it isnt a job. I guess a lot of people dont have jobs/social life because they obsess over games that keep them distracted from their pathetic lives

Fun only

It's entertainment after work or whenever. It's a game not anything more.

Sure I like to win and beat a mission. But if I don't I try again or go read a book.

So FUNFUN only

I play for fun, to pass the time on a slow evening or weekend. That's how I play any game.

I play for fun and stats...been playing casually for over 5 years... but personally I enjoy grinds, I've had 35 maxed titles for almost 2 years now...in that time I've gotten to r11 zrank purely by trade... I wish i had 1k for every time someone told me i have no life or called me an ebayer, but i still find fun in trading and running my sell all weapon upgrade shop.

I play for fun. After 4 1/2 years, 4000+ hours, I have only one character that has completed any campaigns and she has only 2 of 3 plus EotN. She also has all elites capped and the maps 100% explored on those 2 & EotN. Meaning 6 max titles, on 1 character of 12 on primary account, 2 of which are "perma-pre". None of her Rep points are over r6, with the Asuran being the highest, just for the specs and then helping guild mates get their specs. Every so often I get a wild hair and concentrate on a single goal, like the spectacles and the bandana, but if it doesn't come around within a reasonable amount of time, I will move on to something else for awhile. The only "elite" areas I have spent "serious" time in, are SF and ToPK. As far as FoW and UW are concerned, only been there a couple of times sightseeing. Went through all the dungeons once, and a couple of them twice, no need to return there. I don't want to invest the time needed to be competitive in PvP. So, I don't, and I won't whine about it either. If I have a goal left, it would be raising enough gold for 5 more Tormented weapons. That will complete my HoM.

I play mostly for fun. I don't understand why people take the game so seriously and feel the need to be more 'leet' than the person next to them. Is it possible that they cannot prove themselves off the computer, in real life, that they must stuff e-codpieces in their pants to raise their self-esteem?

Eventually, Guild Wars' servers will go down. All the time, blood, sweat and tears they invested will be wiped into oblivion. What will they have to show for their lives at that point? (Sure, people can take pictures, but it doesn't necessarily prove that it was their character or their 'achievements'.) It'll be a harder blow for those who make Guild Wars their lives.

I used to play for fun , but since they deleted HB and removed heroes from Ha/GvG , i don't have any more fun having restarts and fights against bot everywhere . However , i find Jade Quarry , which is the best " pvp/pve" place imo , fun .

I got my gwamm and chaos gloves and a few other valuables. After I achieved this I play less than I did earlier, now its just to relax while splatting some monsters. It be solo or going with allies in todays z mission, or some uw farm etc, or plain helping out.
I dont find excessive grinding fun, so im not aim9ing for more gwamms. Just playing for fun nowadays
Well, its also fun to gain gwamm, but for me it would be less fun to do all that grind a second, third etc time.
I still basically love the graphics of GW and the action, even if its easy monsters, and then the occational ally or pug run.

Long time ago i realized max titles were pretty easy to get, so I got a most. Then I got really close to 30 max titles, and just said why not. GW is mostly about prestige unlike most gear-based games. On the other side I also play for fun with my other characters doing alliance related stuff.

Yeah I no longer play because of this, it is pretty retarded right now.

Pretty easy to get?, they seem to me like a complete uber grind fest, seriously I know I don't play often, but I have been playing for a long time, and I am nowhere near maxing any of the titles.

If you want to max titles you have to really commit to it, you cannot max them just with regular play, therefore I don't think they can be classified as pretty easy to get.

I play for fun, and it's fun to achieve a goal. But even more, it's fun to achive a goal with people.

For example, I despise VQing unless I'm with othe people, same goes for HM missions.

For fun, because there's very little you can actually take seriously these days in GW.

There are of course a few situations where it's totally understandable to be largely upset, i.e. seeing your account hacked with pretty much everything gone (gj NC).

"Serious vs fun" is not really a direct comparison. I'd like to think everyone plays for fun, but the seriousness factor kicks in when different people compare what they each consider to be fun.

For example, I'm currently enjoying FA. A strict PvEer might think of FA as being too serious for them, but then someone who's into say, GvG, might look down upon FA as being boring.

Fun in itself should be a constant; seriousness is relative.
